Two lonely hearts. One city of dreaming spires. A whole lot of history...

Eleanora Russell loves the historic city of Oxford, and it loves her back. As the owner of her family's long-standing punt company, she gets to see her city like a tourist every day and meet people from all walks of life. But when she goes home at night, her cottage is silent, as Eleanora tries to come to terms with the reality of her empty nest.

John Beacon knows just how vacant a small house can feel. A widower and empty nester himself, he decides to go back to university and study for a Master's degree.

When romance blossoms between effervescent Eleanora and kind, thoughtful John, it could be the start of something beautiful. But something - or someone - from John's past is holding him back. And a crisis for Eleanora means that it may be best for her to move away...

This charming, Oxford-set romance about finding love in later life is perfect for fans of Sue Moorcroft, Cressida McLaughlin and Heidi Swain.
