Emily White: Sex during Pregnancy, Gebunden

Klappentext

Emily White's emotional sensual short stories honor the body in transformation: the new weight, the sudden heat of blood, the solitude that pregnancy can cast around a woman who once lived for speed. In these manga-style illustrated erotic short stories, a chance meeting in a café returns a former instructor to a life that has grown quieter and rounder. He looks first at the curve of her, then at her face, and does not look away. She has dressed for the city as if dressing were a dare; lipstick and a low neckline become a small act of self-reclamation.

At his apartment the world narrows to breath, palms, and the astonishing fact that she is still wanted. He asks before he touches the swell of her; she answers by placing his hand where she needs it most. Steamy illustrated tales rarely treat this season with such reverence and hunger at once. Passionate manga romance here is not escape from the future but a brief, fierce claiming of the present. The final image is a kiss sealed over skin still marked by what they have just given each other-and the reader is left aching for the morning that never arrives on the page.
