Biografie
ELIZABETH TAYLOR, geboren 1912 in Reading, lebte in Penn, Buckinghamshire. Sie war kurz Mitglied der KP, danach Anhängerin der Labour Party. Taylors erster Roman, At Mrs Lippincote s, erschien 1945. Elf weitere Romane, ein Kinderbuch und Kurzgeschichten folgten. Taylor befasst sich in ihren Werken vorwiegend mit den Facetten des Alltagslebens. 2007 verfilmte François Ozon ihren Roman Angel, der nun erstmals auf Deutsch vorliegt. Elizabeth Taylor starb am 19. November 1975. Im Dörlemann Verlag sind bisher ihre Romane Blick auf den Hafen (2011, Original 1947) und Versteckspiel (2013, Original 1951) erschienen, beide in der Übersetzung von Bettina Abarbanell. Weitere Werke sollen folgen.
