Klappentext

From Philp K. Dick nominated writer Christopher Hinz, Guzzlers is a high-stakes sci-fi in which a strange discovery blossoms into a series of increasingly mysterious events with world-shattering implications. Perfect for fans of The Age of Disclosureand the Southern Reach trilogy.

Mysterious UFOs are snatching parked cars, sucking out their gas and dropping the carcasses in the wilderness. Worse, they sometimes prey on moving vehicles and kidnap the occupants, who are never seen again...

Small town police chief Susan Mackintyre -- also known as Sumack -- has never met a mystery she doesn't want to solve. And while she may want to dismiss the so-called witnesses of these events as UFO nut jobs, some occurrences are too weird for her to deny, and she ends up joining forces with nerdy UFO hunter, Jack Taylor, and his posse.

The two slowly unravel the mystery of the "guzzlers" responsible for the missing cars, but what exactly are these creatures? Living entities? Machines? Or something else entirely?

When a college student goes missing, followed by one of Sumack's own officers, the two must take drastic measures, or face the consequences.

Using a sci-fi-based world as the launchpad for a classic mystery,Guzzlers will take readers on a rollercoaster of an adventure.
