Barbara Briggs Ward: Taking You Back to Christmas, Kartoniert / Broschiert

Klappentext

My first work of fiction was a Christmas novel titled, The Reindeer Keeper. The storyline came to me as I watched snowflakes falling past my kitchen window. The image of my grandfather's old barn followed. That barn would take on a role in the story just as it did in my childhood. That barn along with a nearby chicken coop minus the chickens was where my cousin and I played when growing up. The chicken coop was also where I would bring my Laura Ingalls Wilder or Nancy Drew books to read. My grandfather was an avid reader, especially when he came in from the barn. Sitting in his chair in the front parlor of his farmhouse, he would enjoy his Saturday Evening Post and Zane Gray novels.

The Reindeer Keeper was well-received. That led to my continuing the storyline by writing The Snowman Maker and The Candle Giver, creating a trilogy of Christmas stories connected to that barn. Three additional works of Christmas fiction followed: The Tin Cookie Cutter, Velvet Snowflakes, and Under Glistening Christmas Stars.

I invite you to relax and enjoy the nine heartwarming short stories of the season inside this book, written in hopes of Taking You Back to Christmas.
