Barbara Alpha: My Little Mustard Seed, Kartoniert / Broschiert

Klappentext

When she was eleven years old, Ashli ran away. She didn't know where she was going or what she was doing; she only knew she had to get away. On a dark, rainy night a woman approached her, and for a moment Ashli thought she had been rescued. Instead the woman handed her to a man, to drugs, and to a life that held her captive for years.

Years later, blind and living on the street, Ashli was passed a telephone. On the other end was Miss Barbara - the woman from B2B Ministry who had given Ashli her first teddy bear when she was 12 years old in a shelter, .

it turned out that she had spent well over a year searching the streets for her.

Barbara asked if she wanted to get off the streets. Ashli said no. Then she asked whether Barbara would take her to church.

My Little Mustard Seed is the true story of what happened next. Told in Barbara Alpha's own words and illustrated throughout, it follows Ashli from foster care through trafficking, addiction and prison to a life she never expected: sober, married, a mother, and standing in front of children who are where she once was.

The book includes a foreword written by Ashli herself, and closes with the promises she holds on to.
