Amber Schonert: Rugby Is My Game!, Kartoniert / Broschiert

Klappentext

Mia is fast, strong, and full of energy. The "pretty" sports just don't feel like her.

Grown-ups keep pointing her toward ballet, cheerleading, tennis, dance, gymnastics, horse riding, and netball. Some of those things are lovely. None of them feel like Mia.

Then Dad takes her to Twickenham.

She watches the women run onto the pitch - powerful, fearless, and free - and something clicks. For the first time, Mia sees a game that looks like the girl she already is.

Rugby Is My Game! is a warm children's rugby picture book about belonging, self-belief, and finding your team. It is for every child who has been told to be quieter, prettier, or smaller than they feel.

Inside this girls in sport story, Mia tries the sports that don't fit, visits famous Twickenham, and joins a mixed junior team that welcomes her with open arms. She runs, tackles, scores a try, and finally hears the words she needed: girls belong on the field.

This kids sports story is written in clear, read-aloud language with full-colour pictures on every spread. At the back are two colouring pages, so children can design their own rugby boots and kit.

Find your game. Find your team.

A picture book rugby title for ages 4-8 - ideal for bedtime, classrooms, rugby clubs, and anyone looking for a children's book about teamwork and being yourself.
