Al Kustanowitz: The Candle in the Drinking Glass, Kartoniert / Broschiert

Klappentext

One summer morning, six-year-old Jackie goes downstairs early to the kitchen to make a peanut butter sandwich. There he discovers a candle burning in a drinking glass-something he's never seen before.

His Daddy explains that the glass holds a yahrzeit candle, lit each year in memory of Jackie's Grandpa Jack, whom Jackie never met.

Through warm stories and gentle conversations, Jackie begins to understand the life of a good man-his kindness, his hard work, and his love for family. He learns that even the simplest things can carry memories that live on from one generation to the next.

The Candle in the Drinking Glass is a warm, beautifully illustrated story about family, memory, Jewish tradition, and the connections between generations.
