Eric Schlosser is the author of Fast Food Nation andReefer Madness , as well as the co-author of a children's book, Chew on This . His work has appeared in the Atlantic Monthly , the New Yorker , the Nation , and Vanity Fair , and he was an executive producer on the films Fast Food Nation and There Will Be Blood and a co-producer of the documentary Food Inc.
Biografie
Eric Schlosser ist in seiner amerikanischen Heimat durch seine exzellent recherchierten Reportagen ein ebenso bekannter wie gefürchteter Journalist. Er schrieb über die Familien von Mordopfern, den Komplex der Gefängnisindustrie und das Pornografiegeschäft. Als Korrespondent des Monatsmagazins "The Atlantic" wurden seine Arbeiten mit zahlreichen Preisen ausgezeichnet. So erhielt er für seine zweiteilige Serie über die Durchführung der Marihuana-Gesetze in Amerika den "National Magazine Award for reporting" und für seinen Bericht über die kalifornische Erdbeerindustrie den Preis der Sidney Hillman Foundation.
