Daniel Ammann hat sich als investigativer Journalist international einen Namen gemacht. Für sein Marc-Rich-Porträt erhielt er den renommierten "Georg von Holtzbrinck Preis" für Wirtschaftspublizistik. Seine Recherchen zu den Ermittlungsmethoden der Schweizer Justiz, die den Bundesanwalt zu Fall brachten, wurden mit dem Ehrenpreis für Finanzjournalisten ausgezeichnet. Ammann leitete die Wirtschaftsressorts der "Weltwoche" und des Schweizer Nachrichtenmagazins "Facts". Er lebt in Zürich.
