Weitere Ausgaben von Private Revolution
Reissue der fünf World Party-Studioalben auf dem Band eigenen Label Seaview Records: »Private Revolution« (1986, inkl. »Ship Of Fools«), »Goodbye Jumbo« (1990, inkl. »Put The Message In The Box«), »Bang!« (1993, inkl. »Is It Like Today?«), »Egyptology« (1997), »Dumbing Up« (2000). Is It Like Today?« (Album #69, Single #52 in DE).
From 1983-86 we knew him as a member of THE WATERBOYS before he left, gasping for musical air and bursting with the brilliant debut »Private Revolution« (1987), featuring the Top Forty hit »Ship Of Fools«. Written, produced and played almost entirely by Karl Wallinger, »Private Revolution« has been hailed as a glorious mixture of musical styles from the Fab Four through folk to funk, with Karl's abiding love of melody face-up at all times. This debut album from WORLD PARTY is a solid release. Karl Wallinger's insightful songs deal primarily with the responsibility of the individual to recognize and cope with the problems of the world. »Private Revolution« fe atures mainly original songs like the title track, »World Party,« and »It's All Mine,« as well as a cover of Dylan's »All I Really Want to Do,« which remains surprisingly true to the original version. Remastered with deluxe packaging. A new studio release will follow next year.
