Celebrate The Cars reunion this May 10th with the exclusive Friday Music compact disc release of their 1987 classic Door To Door album. Featuring the legendary five piece line-up of Ric Ocasek, Benjamin Orr, Greg Hawkes, Elliot Easton and David Robinson, the great Door To Door album was the last official release of the original superstar quintet.
Produced by Ric Ocasek, this smash recording featured the chart topping rock track Strap Me In as well as the hit single You Are The Girl. These Boston rockers also delivered more radio action with several other classic tracks like Coming Up You and Double Trouble as well as the fan favorites Everything You Say and techno rock leanings of Fine Line. All in all, a much applauded and definitive classic effort from this incredibly talented band.
Friday Music is very proud to offer the compact disc release of this amazing album from The Cars. Having been out of print for years on CD, this will be a much welcomed revisit for Cars fans and for rock music lovers everywhere.
Mastered impeccably from the original Elektra Records tapes by Joe Reagoso (Journey, Boston, Alice Cooper, Cheap Trick), this incredible sounding release also includes all of the original album cover elements, including the unique front cover painting by artist Emanuele DiLiberto.
Door To Door also importantly features the sorely missed vocals and bass guitar of the late great Benjamin Orr, a founding member of The Cars. His amazing contributions excel on this fine album, as you will hear from song one through eleven.
So let's all celebrate and welcome back The Cars with a great revisit to their final release from the eighties Door To Door. Eleven great songs, five incredible musicians, and one great album from one of the world's greatest rock bands ever... The Cars!
