Zu Beginn des 17. Jahrhunderts erlebte der Brüsseler Hof eine kulturelle Blüte, was auf die Kunstsinnigkeit der Stadthalter Albert und Isabella Clara Eugenia zurückzuführen ist. In diesen friedlichen Zeiten konnte sich eine herausragende Hofkapelle entwickeln, in der auch der Spanier Pedro Ruimonte mitwirkte. Eine Auswahl seiner Kammermusik präsentiert nun La Grande Chapelle unter der Leitung von Albert Recasens.
